Diagnose early disease and assess the need to reduce heart attack risk.
Coronary artery disease is a common heart condition. A buildup of calcium, fats and other substances in the heart arteries are often the cause. This buildup is called plaque. Plaque collects slowly over time, long before there are any symptoms of coronary artery disease.
A CT-cor Calcium scan is done to check for calcium in the arteries that supply the heart. It can help diagnose early coronary artery disease and define if medication is necessary to reduce risk for a heart attack.
In some cases our cardiologist, based on your results and personal risk factors, will recommend a CT-cor Calcium score. In Collaboration with CCN ( Cardio Centra Nederland) we can organize this for you in their clinic in Amsterdam.
